As more and more employment opportunities require some form of postsecondary education, it is paramount that we align the needs of our students with those of our institutions. Therefore, we commend the commission’s recommendations to transition the community college finance system to an outcomes-funded model. However, we believe that the recommendation, as it currently stands, does not properly capture student outcomes.
