AUSTIN – The Texas Public Policy Foundation and the Texas Association of Business will hold a press conference with world-renown economist Dr. Arthur Laffer to discuss the findings of Dr. Laffer’s new study on economic impact of school choice in Texas. The press conference will take place during the Texas Public Policy Foundation’s annual Policy Orientation on Wednesday, January 7th, at 1:00 p.m. CST in front of the Capitol View South Room in the Sheraton Austin Hotel at the Capitol. The Texas Public Policy Foundation and the Texas Association of Business commissioned the study, The Texas Economy and School Choice, which analyzes the economic impact of the Taxpayer Savings Grant Program.

The Honorable Kent Grusendorf, Senior Fellow for Education, represented Arlington in the Texas Legislature for twenty years, focusing on education. Serving on the House Public Education Committee and various Select Committees, he played a significant role in crafting legislative responses to the Edgewood I, Edgewood II, Edgewood III, Edgewood IV, and West Orange Cove school-finance court decisions.
