AUSTIN – Tomorrow, Oct. 12, Dr. Ashley Berner, Deputy Director of the Johns Hopkins Institute for Education Policy will participate in a public discussion on the current status and health of the American education system at the Texas Public Policy Foundation. A book signing will follow.
 
In her new book, "Pluralism and American Education," Dr. Berner argues that the structure of public education is a key factor in the failure of America’s public education system. The book goes on to provide a roadmap for policymakers to navigate choice, accountability and equity in education amid a new administration. 
 
This event is hosted by the Texas Public Policy Foundation, the Johns Hopkins School of Education and Texas Private School Associations.
