Since 2017, Texas has been working to transform the state’s foster care system by giving local community-based nonprofits greater responsibility for caring for children who enter foster care. The goal of this transformation is to make the system safer, more innovative, and more responsive to the needs of our state’s most vulnerable children. Join us for a conversation with Sen. Charles Perry and St. Francis Ministries about the status of foster care reform in our region the work that must be done during the 88th Legislature to ensure success.
