The San Antonio Liberty Leadership Council and Media for Texas invites you + a friend to a cocktail reception and viewing of Forging Texas. Join us for drinks, snacks, and a showing of select episodes of the Forging Texas video series featuring introductory remarks by the film’s director, Stephen Robinson. Stephen will briefly discuss the battle to win hearts and minds via storytelling and the critical importance for conservatives to stake a claim in the media and art space.

The evening will also feature remarks from Media for Texas, an organization working with the biggest Texas names in the entertainment industry—including Matthew McConaughey, Woody Harrelson, and Glen Powell—to transform our state into a new kind of media destination. They work with legislators and local stakeholders to increase state incentives and in-state productions, ensuring more multimedia projects are born and stay in the state, supporting the talented creatives and crew who live and work here.

“Forging Texas” is a project of the Texas Public Policy Foundation and features a compelling look at the lives, the causes, and the passions for freedom that drove Texas and the Texans to independence — and then to greatness. The video series pulls back the veil of history and looks into inspiring tales of the people that makes Texas Texan.
