The Nash
1111 Rusk Street #Suite 172
Houston, TX 77002
Expert panelists Jimmy Anderson, Deputy State Budget Director at the Office of Texas Governor Greg Abbott, and Jose Melendez, Campaign Director of the Taxpayer Protection Project at the Texas Public Policy Foundation, will explore the path toward eliminating school property taxes, reining in local government spending, and deliver meaningful relief for all Texans.
With the 90th Legislative Session on the horizon, we’ll take a look at how the issue is expected to fare at the Capitol, the challenges that could stand in the way, and strategies that can help turn ideas into policy. We’ll also explore why property taxes matter to the next generation of Texans and what young people can do to help build support for lasting reform.
And, of course, what’s a Tea & Taxes party without a little tea? Enjoy a signature sweet tea cocktail while you mix and mingle with fellow young professionals throughout the event. Tea you there!
RSVP is required to attend. Complimentary food and drinks will be served. Please extend this invitation to any other young professional who may be interested in this event.
