Children are our most precious resource, and they deserve care and solutions that reflect that undeniable truth. The hardships of the recent past have pulled back the veil on the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS), showing us that there is much to be done to ensure that children involved with DFPS are protected and cared for. Now is the time to address the root of the issue at DFPS and explore community-based care, capacity solutions, and the examples of successful organizations.

Join with us as John Lujan, a Texas State Representative, and Tara Roussett, the CEO of SJRC Texas, formerly known as St. Jude’s Ranch for Children, discuss with Texas Public Policy Foundation’s Andrew Brown how Texas can learn from the success of SJRC in caring for children and families who have been affected by trauma, abuse, and neglect.

A complimentary lunch will be provided for in-person attendees.
