Young professionals are invited by the Dallas Liberty Leadership Council* (LLC) for an evening of policy conversation and connection. Join us for a reception and panel featuring special guest speaker and activists Vanessa Sivadge and Soren Aldaco as we unpack the growing concerns surrounding youth identity, medical ethics, and parental rights.
This discussion will take a look at Soren’s case before the Texas Supreme Court, as well as how medical and mental health providers avoid accountability, even in cases where lasting harm is done. We’ll explore recent legislative efforts toward safeguarding children and what it will take for Texas to continue leading with strong, common-sense protections.
Whether you are a parent yourself or just passionate about the future we are leaving Texas children, you will walk away more knowledgeable about these issues and how Texans must act to protect our most vulnerable.
Speakers:
- Soren Aldaco—Consultant, subject matter expert, and graduate student dedicated to understanding identity-related policy and cultural issues
- Vanessa Sivadge—President & Founder, Protecting Texas Children
- Noah Torres—Policy Scholar for the Family Success Project, Texas Public Policy Foundation
RSVP is required to attend. Please extend this invitation to any other young professional who may be interested in this event. Complimentary drinks and light bites will be served.
