Young professionals are invited by the Dallas Liberty Leadership Council* (LLC) to a happy hour reception and candid conversation about the ideology of Islamism and its growing influence in Texas and across the United States.

The Dallas-Fort Worth region has become home to organizations and advocacy networks whose activities raise important questions about the spread of Islamist ideology and its implications for American institutions and civil society.

Featuring Sam Westrop, TPPF Senior Fellow and Director of the Middle East Forum’s Islamist Watch, we will break down the ideology of Islamism, examine how Islamist organizations seek to influence American communities and institutions, and explore what this could mean for Texas. Sam will also discuss practical policy solutions—including ideas he recently presented in testimony before the Texas House of Representatives—that could be considered during the upcoming 90th Legislature.

Come enjoy a drink, meet fellow Dallas-area young professionals, and bring your questions for an engaging conversation about a complex and consequential issue facing Texas and the nation.

RSVP is required to attend. Please extend this invitation to any other young professional who may be interested in this event. Complimentary drinks and light bites will be served.

*The purpose and vision of the Liberty Leadership Council (LLC) is to foster meaningful relationships among young professionals who share the values of individual liberty, personal responsibility, and free enterprise and to engage these individuals in the mission of the Texas Public Policy Foundation. Click here for more information.
