Join the Austin LLC* for a service event on Saturday, October 22nd at the Mobile Loaves and Fishes Community First! Village. We will hear from staff and residents at the village about the work they are doing and the difference it is making in people’s lives. Then, we will serve their community together by working on projects such as laying pathways, harvesting gardens, tending the chicken coop, dry landscaping yards of the micro-homes, and more.

IMPORTANT INFO:

• This service event will take place at the Community First! Village, located at 9301 Hog Eye Rd. Austin, TX, 78724. Parking is available at the front of Community First! Village. Please meet at the Front Porch (the white, 3D-printed house facing the parking lot) at 8:45am to check in and get a name tag. • Please come wearing the proper clothing to ensure a safe day at work. The village requires that each volunteer wear close toed shoes and recommends wearing long pants or socks, a hat, bug spray and/or sunscreen for the outdoors.
• Be sure to bring your own water bottle as they do not provide them, though they do have canteens to refill the ones you bring.
• Volunteers should also bring their own pair of gardening gloves.
• Should this event need to be cancelled due to rain, our group lead will be notified by 7:00am the day of our serve event and we will pass along the information to all registered attendees.

*Liberty Leadership Council events are open to young professionals between the ages of 21 and 40 who are looking to get involved in conservative public policy. Click here for more information.
