AUSTIN— Today, the Texas Public Policy Foundation’s Vice President of Criminal Justice Marc Levin will provide invited testimony before the House Corrections Committee.

“I look forward to sharing our recommendations based on the research we have done that demonstrates how Texas can further enhance public safety and control costs to taxpayers,” said Levin. “We greatly appreciate the visionary leadership of House Corrections Chairman James White and we are working with him and the Committee on many promising strategies to move people from prison to paycheck. The solutions discussed at this hearing will help ensure Texas remains at the forefront of the national movement towards corrections policies that provide second chances while also holding both individuals and the criminal justice system accountable for results.”
