AUSTIN – James Golsan, Policy Analyst at Texas Public Policy Foundation’s Center for Education Policy, will testify before the House Public Education Committee in favor of Senate Bill 2 on Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. in room E2.036 of the Texas State Capitol.
“Senate Bill 2 is a positive step toward making Texas’ education system more competitive. By lifting the cap on public open-enrollment charter schools, Texas can address the needs of more than 100,000 students currently waiting to attend such schools, and increase options for parents seeking alternatives to their local public school,” said Golsan.
