AUSTIN – Today, the Texas Public Policy Foundation is proud to announce the release of the “2019-20 Legislator’s Guide to the Issues,” a series of recommendations to the 86th Texas Legislature.

“This latest edition of the Legislator’s Guide is another example of the proactive and forward-looking policy engagement that the Texas Public Policy Foundation is known for,” said Executive Director Kevin Roberts. “The mission of the Foundation is not only to advocate, but to persuade—and that begins by providing Texas policy-makers and grassroots leaders with thorough analysis and insight into the most pressing issues facing Texans every day.”

The “2019-20 Legislator’s Guide to the Issues” includes recommendations on 79 topics in the following issue areas:

  • Local Government
  • K-12 Education
  • Higher Education
  • Energy
  • Environment
  • Water
  • Families & Children
  • Health Care
  • Criminal Justice
  • Property Rights
  • Government Reform
  • Consumers
