AUSTIN – The Texas Public Policy Foundation and the LIBRE Initiative will host a Policy Primer discussing “School Choice and the Hispanic Community” TOMORROW, Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. CDT in the Members’ Lounge located in room E2.1002 of the Texas State Capitol.

Good policy is a benefit to all citizens, but especially important to those citizens who live in less affluent neighborhoods. School choice is a special concern for minority communities as they seek their piece of the American dream. The issue of Hispanics and education is not niche policy but an issue of our future.

Panelists include:

  • Michael Barba, Texas Public Policy Foundation
  • Rep. Dwayne Bohac, Texas House District 138
  • Eric Garza, The LIBRE Initiative
  • Lance Izumi, J.D., Pacific Research Institute
  • Tom Lindsay, Texas Public Policy Foundation (moderator)
