AUSTIN – The Texas Public Policy Foundation (TPPF) will host a conversation on short-term rental regulations THURSDAY, July 21, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. CDT in the Joe B. Hogsett Theater at the Texas Public Policy Foundation.

In February, the Austin City Council took aim at short-term rental owners and guests with a new law setting arbitrary occupancy caps, calling for a strict 10:00 p.m. bedtime, and allowing for warrantless searches to be conducted at any “reasonable” time. Additionally, the ordinance is set to ban many short-term rentals outright by 2022.
