AUSTIN – Today, the Texas Public Policy Foundation announced several staff changes within the communications department to expand upon the Foundation’s success in delivering its core messages of freedom, opportunity and prosperity.

Brian Phillips has been promoted to chief communications officer, where he will continue to oversee the department’s activities while pursuing new opportunities to grow the Foundation’s reach around Texas and the country.

Alicia Pierce is TPPF’s new vice president of marketing, specializing in promoting the organization’s principle initiatives, demonstrating TPPF’s influence on critical policy debates, and cultivating new and current audiences for TPPF products and research.

Sarah Silberstein has moved into a new role as press secretary and will focus on media outreach, relationship building and message development.

Alex Billups will become TPPF’s marketing and multimedia associate where he will continue to assist with the production of TPPF videos and podcasts, as well as expand his role working on new marketing products.

“The Texas Public Policy Foundation has the best communications team in the conservative movement,” said TPPF Executive Director Kevin Roberts. “It is a key piece of our ability to educate legislators, government officials, grassroots leaders and the public about the important policy issues of the day. I have no doubt that we will continue the excellent work that has become the standard within the movement and expand our reach through top-notch communications strategies in the years to come.”
