Texas Public Policy Foundation’s Megan Ingram, research analyst in the Center for Energy and the Environment, will testify on House Concurrent Resolution 84, which is related to state authority of oil and gas production. Ingram will testify before the Texas House Select Committee on State & Federal Power & Responsibility TODAY, Thursday, April 13, 2017 at 8:00 a.m. CDT in Room E2.036 at the Texas State Capitol.

“Oil and gas production has historically been the exclusive right of the states,” said Ingram. “In the past decade, the federal government has seized this authority through a variety of environmental regulations. We praise the chairman’s and other members’ efforts to help ensure that energy production in Texas continues to lead the country and enhance the lives of those both in the Lone Star State and beyond.”
