AUSTIN – The Texas Public Policy Foundation is pleased to announce the additions of Dallas businessman George Seay III and Celina entrepreneur and ABC/ESPN college football analyst Craig James to its board of directors.

"George Seay and Craig James bring new ideas and energy to the Texas Public Policy Foundation," said TPPF Chairman Wendy Lee Gramm. "George and Craig are passionate about free markets and limited government, and it speaks well of the Foundation's effectiveness that they have agreed to join our efforts to advance these important ideas."

George Seay is the co-founder and CEO of Annandale Capital – an investment advisory and asset management firm – and the founder of Seay Stewardship & Investment Company. Mr. Seay serves on multiple civic and charitable boards around Texas and the nation and believes strongly in public service and giving back. He has prior public policy experience working for the Governor of Texas and Deputy Secretary of State at the U.S. State Department in Washington. Mr. Seay is a lifelong resident of Dallas, with his wife Sarah and their three children. He is a 7th generation Texan. His family first came to Texas in 1819.

"When it comes to promoting free markets and limited government, few groups do it anywhere near as effectively as the Texas Public Policy Foundation," Seay said. "It has been an integral part of the Texas success story during the last decade and it is an honor to be able to participate in its leadership group and promising future."

While Craig James is best known for his football activities – as an All-American at Southern Methodist University, an All-Pro during a six-year professional career, and currently a college football analyst for ABC and ESPN television – he has also had a successful career in business. The land holdings of his ranch acquisition and development firm, Emerging Land Markets, have included nearly 50,000 acres and generated approximately $100 million in sales between 2006 and 2008. He is the founder of the Craig James School of Broadcasting, which trains former athletes and coaches to become broadcasters. For the last eight years, he has served as president of the Celina Economic Development Board in North Texas.

"I am one of the millions of Americans who have watched what's happened in Washington, D.C. this last year and realized that we can no longer afford to be on the sidelines," James said. "The Texas Public Policy Foundation has a tremendous team and I'm proud to be part of it."

The Texas Public Policy Foundation is a non-profit, non-partisan, free-market research institute based in Austin.
