AUSTIN – Texas Public Policy Foundation (TPPF) and the Texas Association of Business (TAB) this week called for comprehensive reform of the state’s overly regulated title insurance system. Texas prohibits competition in the title insurance market, resulting in Texans paying among the highest title insurance rates in the country. TPPF’s Vice President of Research and Director of the Center for Economic Freedom Bill Peacock is available to discuss title insurance reform in Texas.
