The Texas Public Policy Foundation’s Life:Powered project submitted public comments to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regarding its proposal to regulate greenhouse gas emissions from airplanes.
“Instead of further cementing the flawed notion that the Clean Air Act grants authority to regulate substances that are not pollutants, the EPA should focus its efforts on continuing our global leadership in clean air and water,” said Jason Isaac, director of Life:Powered. “We urge the EPA to reconsider this proposal and revisit the ‘endangerment finding’ that elevates greenhouse gases to the same regulatory level as pollutants that directly cause human harm.”
“We strongly encourage the EPA to rescind this rule in its entirety and to ultimately take up the Texas Public Policy Foundation’s petition to repeal the endangerment finding,” Isaac stated.
