Health care costs too much and hides too much, and government has made both problems worse. The Foundation’s health care reform work puts patients and doctors back at the center, in Texas and in the national debate. A core idea is price transparency, so people can see what care costs before they get the bill.
We champion models that cut out the middleman, like direct primary care, and we’ve made the case against Medicaid expansion, which pours money into an insurance-run program that already gets poor results. The aim is more choices and lower prices. Below is our latest health care work.
