It begins with the Texas Revolution, from Gonzales to Goliad to San Jacinto, and goes on to include lesser-known chapters like the first woman to lead a cattle drive up the Chisholm Trail and the Vietnamese migration to Texas in the 1970s. The thread running through all of it is that Texas is an extension of America’s founding.
