David Dunmoyer joined the Texas Public Policy Foundation in September 2020. While initially brought on board as an intern with the Next Generation Texas campaign, he ultimately found his calling in the Development Writer role. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Strategic Communication from Texas Christian University and is currently pursuing his Master of Public Affairs at UT Austin’s LBJ School of Public Affairs.

Originally hailing from Sacramento, California, David began his professional experience as an Account Executive at a public affairs firm in California’s capital city. Through his work here and other opportunities during his time at TCU, he developed a strong passion for writing and public policy. He is looking forward to bringing his experience to TPPF in Austin, the city he now calls home.

In his free time, David enjoys playing guitar and piano, reading, and exercising.
