AUSTIN – The Texas Public Policy Foundation will host a media conference call with Senator Brian Birdwell today at 10:00 a.m. Central Time, to discuss TPPF’s report Protecting Texas Taxpayers: Sales Tax Relief (STaR) Fund. This report, authored by Talmadge Heflin, TPPF’s Director of the Center for Fiscal Policy, and Dr. Vance Ginn, Center for Fiscal Policy Economist, outlines how to boost economic prosperity in Texas while helping slow the growth of government spending, through an innovative sales-tax relief fund.
