Today, the Texas Workforce Commission released labor market information in Texas for March 2017. The Texas Public Policy Foundation’s Economist Dr. Vance Ginn issued the following statement:

“Texas employers created 249,000 net nonfarm jobs in the last twelve months, with 9,500 jobs added in March alone,” said Dr. Ginn. “This brings the positive jobs creation streak to a remarkable 76 of the last 78 months. Continued improved economic growth expectations in Texas based partially on pro-growth policies discussed at the federal and state government levels look to keep job opportunities plentiful statewide.”
