Today, the Texas Public Policy Foundation announced former Texas Sen. Larry Taylor will join the foundation as a senior fellow.  As a member of the Texas Legislature for nearly 20 years, Senator Taylor is an education champion, overhauling the public school finance system and passing a comprehensive learning acceleration program. As the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Education, Taylor fought to ensure that every child in Texas received the best education possible.

“We are lucky to have such an experienced, well-respected, and informed policymaker join our team,” said TPPF CEO Greg Sindelar. “Larry brings in a wealth of policy and institutional knowledge on a broad range of issues that match well with the foundation’s priorities. In particular, his consistent and tireless work on reforming our education system makes him the right person at the right time to fight for empowering parents and ensuring they are the primary decisions makers in their child’s education. I am confident Larry’s help will be a major factor passing parent-centered reforms this session.”

“I am thrilled to join the TPPF team,” said Taylor. “The foundation has an exemplary record of successfully fighting for conservative principles and values, and I greatly look forward to the work we’re going to do together. There is no shortage of historic opportunities in front of us this session and I am excited to continue to be a part of showing how Texas can lead the way.”
