AUSTIN, TX – The Texas Public Policy’s General Counsel and Center for the American Future Director Robert Henneke released the following statement on the letter signed by Texas as part of an 11-state coalition to suspend and withdraw the current information collection request for existing oil and gas facilities.

“I applaud the efforts of the Texas Attorney General in leading this 11-state coalition to, once again, stop abusive overreach from the Environmental Protection Agency,” said Henneke. “This parting shot from the past Administration imposes onerous reporting requirements on oil and gas operators across the nation that serve little purpose but to create an economic drag on our nation’s economy with dubious environmental benefit. Once again, Texas leads the fight to oppose out of control, unelected bureaucrats in Washington, DC.”
