AUSTIN — Today, the Texas Public Policy Foundation congratulates Distinguished Senior Fellow Rodney Scott, who President-Elect Donald Trump has nominated to serve as the next Commissioner of United States Customs and Border Protection. Scott’s appointment comes in the wake of four years of chaos at America’s borders, during which record numbers of unvetted illegal aliens entered the country. TPPF stands firmly behind the next administration’s efforts to disrupt the flow of human trafficking, combat the drug epidemic, and dismantle the violent cartels fueling it all.
“Rodney has faithfully served his nation for over thirty years in the United States Border Patrol,” said TPPF CEO Greg Sindelar. “He has worked tirelessly with the federal government and states across America to protect our communities. We are grateful for his leadership and look forward to the success he will bring.”
Secure & Sovereign Texas Campaign Director Selene Rodriguez added, “Rodney is the best choice for this position and he will be bringing decades of experience and knowledge to the incoming administration. Americans are finally going to know that the agencies responsible for securing our borders are doing just that.”
