Today, the Texas Public Policy Foundation commends the Texas Senate for passing Senate Bill 14, an effective and compassionate approach to protecting children struggling with gender dysphoria. The bill now heads to the Texas House for consideration.

“Senate Bill 14 will protect Texas children from harmful and unscientific sex reassignment medical procedures. This bill will safeguard the health and welfare of children and their families while directing them to proven mental health support that can actually help children overcome gender dysphoria,” said Andrew Brown, associate vice president of policy for TPPF.  “We are grateful to Senator Donna Campbell for her leadership on this important piece of legislation and unwavering commitment to protecting children from harm.”
