Today, the Texas Public Policy Foundation applauded Texas Senate Education Committee Chairman Brandon Creighton for supporting a Parental Bill of Rights, reforms that will increase transparency and access, empowering parents to make the best education decisions for their children.

“It is time that Texas parents are empowered to play an active role for their child’s education,” Chairman Creighton said. “Texas parents and taxpayers deserve to know that their child’s best interest is top priority.”

“Parents deserve to feel empowered to pursue the best education for their children,” said Greg Sindelar, TPPF’s Chief Executive Officer. “Transparency and access will provide parents the necessary tools to ensure every child has access to a quality education.”

“We applaud Chairman Creighton’s support for empowering parents to pursue the best education for their children,” said Mandy Drogin, campaign manager for TPPF’s Next Generation Texas initiative. “With the Senate Education Committee committed to transparency and increased access to the schools that best fit their needs, Texas will take an important step forward to putting parents in control of their children’s education.”
