Today, the Texas Senate filed Senate Bill 2424, which would make entering Texas illegally a state crime, allowing the state to better protect its southern border. TPPF Campaign Director Carine Martinez released the following the statement:
“Texas continues to step in while the federal government has relinquished its responsibility to provide a secure border for Texans and Americans. Texas border communities are faced with the destruction of property, an increase in crime and violent activities, and the lethal danger of fentanyl.
