AUSTIN – TPPF applauds President Trump’s recent executive order prohibiting all federal funding and support for physical and hormonal gender reassignment procedures for minors. For too long, children struggling with mental health disorders and their families have been exploited and victimized by radical doctors and activists with the lie that undergoing medical gender reassignment will alleviate their suffering. As a result, thousands of children have been permanently and irreversibly harmed.
TPPF published research exposing these harmful practices and laying the groundwork for prohibiting their performance in Texas.
“It’s heartening to see President Trump call this what it is: mutilation,” said TPPF’s Vice President of Policy, Andrew Brown. “Texas led the way on banning this horrific practice for minors last session, and we’re grateful to the President for bringing the full weight of the federal government to bear against a radical ideology masquerading as medical science.”
