AUSTIN – The Texas Public Policy Foundation today announced that Governor Rick Perry will deliver the keynote remarks for “At the Crossroads: Energy & Climate Policy Summit” on Thursday, September 25, 2014. The Summit, a world-class gathering of the most prominent scholars on energy and climate change, will be held at the Hyatt Regency Houston on September 25-26, 2014.

“It is an honor and a privilege to have Governor Perry headline this gathering of the best minds on climate change and energy policy,” said TPPF President & CEO Brooke Rollins. “Governor Perry presided over the Texas Miracle and saw the American energy revolution led by Texas innovators unfold under his watch. Now he is a global voice for the power of energy to liberate individual lives, secure prosperity, and create a more fair and flourishing world – and that’s why his insights on how to move ideas to action are invaluable as we forge the path toward energy realism and freedom.”

"Texas has long been an economic model for the nation. Governor Perry has seen firsthand the transformative power that energy can have for a society,” said TPPF Armstrong Center for Energy & the Environment Director Kathleen Hartnett White. “So it is more than fitting that he will be bringing his insights as a policy maker to the Crossroads Summit."
