Dan Patrick was elected Lt. Governor of Texas in 2014. He will lead the Texas Senate in the upcoming 85th Texas Legislature. Under his leadership in the 84th Texas Legislature, the Senate passed legislation to reduce the franchise tax by 25% in a pathway to eliminating it all together. Lt. Governor Patrick also championed property tax relief which passed in the Senate, addressed roads and infrastructure challenges and continued the education reforms he began as Education Chairman.

For over fourteen years, the Texas Public Policy Foundation’s Policy Orientation has been one of the nation’s top policy conferences, selling out each year while bringing together lawmakers, policy experts, and engaged citizens to discuss critical issues facing the Lone Star State and America.
