AUSTIN –The Texas Public Policy Foundation today announced that Robert Henneke joined the Foundation as director of the newly launched Center for the American Future. The Center will advance Tenth Amendment principles through opposition to federal abuse and overreach in areas of environmental, private property, and business autonomy rights. The Center will enhance the Foundation’s core mission by launching challenges to government overreach at the administrative, district, and appellate court levels. The Center will represent clients whose lives and liberty are threatened by federal-government action in defiance of the Constitution.

Before joining the Foundation, Robert served as the twice-elected Kerr County Attorney where he fought to protect the community through tough prosecution and brought conservative values to county government. Robert began his legal career serving as an Assistant Attorney General in the General Litigation division under the leadership of Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas and is admitted to practice before the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, as well as the Federal District Courts in the Eastern, Western, Northern and Southern Districts of Texas.
Robert received his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law where he founded the Texas Law Republicans. He earned his undergraduate degree in English Literature from Georgetown University.
