Right On Crime is a national campaign of the Texas Public Policy Foundation that supports conservative criminal justice solutions resulting in less crime, fewer victims, and safer communities. The movement was born in Texas in 2007 and has led the way in implementing conservative criminal justice reforms across the nation.
Right on Crime’s full Liberty Action Agenda for the 90th regular session includes:
- Grand Jury Reform: Requiring Presentation of Exculpatory Evidence: Requires prosecutors to submit all exculpatory evidence to grand juries to ensure informed decision-making and prevent prosecutorial abuse.
- Regulating Bondsmen: Through the Department of Insurance: Moves bail bondsmen regulation to the Texas Department of Insurance to increase oversight, enforce accountability, and protect public safety.
- Reigning in Rogue Prosecutors: Implement a statewide framework to address failures to prosecute serious crimes and improve public safety.
