AUSTIN – At the Texas Public Policy Foundation (TPPF) 14th Annual Policy Orientation today, Texas Governor Greg Abbott called for an Article V Convention of States to amend the Constitution for the purpose of limiting the power and jurisdiction of the federal government. TPPF experts Dr. Tom Lindsay, Director of the Center for 10th Amendment Action at the Texas Public Policy Foundation, and The Honorable Robert Henneke, General Counsel and Director of the Center for American of Freedom are available to discuss the endorsement.
 
Dr. Tom Lindsay Tom Lindsay, Ph.D., is director of the Foundation’s Centers for 10th Amendment Action and Higher Education. He has more than two decades’ experience in education management and instruction, including service as a dean, provost, and college president. In 2006, Lindsay joined the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) staff as director of the agency’s signature initiative, We the People, which supports teaching and scholarship in American history and culture. He was named Deputy Chairman and Chief Operating Officer of the NEH in 2007.
 
The Honorable Robert Henneke is the Foundation’s General Counsel and Director of the Center for the American Future. Before joining the Foundation, Robert served as the twice-elected Kerr County Attorney where he fought to protect the community through tough prosecution and brought conservative values to county government. Robert began his legal career serving as an Assistant Attorney General in the General Litigation division under the leadership of Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas and is admitted to practice before the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, as well as the Federal District Courts in the Eastern, Western, Northern and Southern Districts of Texas.
