TYLER, TX – A judge in the Eastern District of Texas is set to hear oral arguments on the recently adopted Corporate Transparency Act. Under these regulations, the Federal Government now demands that virtually anyone who forms a state corporate entity must disclose a host of otherwise private information to federal law enforcement—even if they are not engaged in any interstate activity and are not suspected of any crime.
TPPF is representing Samantha Smith and Robert Means, who formed LLCs under state law simply to hold property in a safe and legal way. They are asking the Court to put a halt to the federal government’s overreach and enforce the limitations placed on the Federal Government by the founders.
When: Friday, December 6th at 9:30am CT
Where: William M. Steger Federal Building and United States Courthouse, 211 West Ferguson Street Room 106, Tyler, Texas 75702
