On Monday, August 29th, the 1836 Project Advisory Committee, chaired by  former TPPF CEO Dr. Kevin Roberts, and including TPPF Distinguished Senior Fellow Sherry Sylvester, will hold their August meeting at the Texas Capitol to discuss the scope and work of the 1836 Project.  The public is invited to testify.

The 1836 Project Advisory Commission was established in the 87th Legislative Session by House Bill 2497 in order to ensure the every Texan is informed of the state’s history and founding principles including how those principles continue to contribute to Texas’ prosperity today.

“Texas remains a  global hub  of opportunity and innovation because generations of Texans continue to build this state on the principles of freedom and liberty that inspired the founders,” said Sylvester, who also chairs the 1836 Project Sub-Committee “Voices Across Texas.

Texans across the state are invited to join the August 29 meeting to testify on every aspect of the Texas story.
