AUSTIN – The Texas Public Policy Foundation (TPPF) is pleased to announce that former U.S. Senator Tom Coburn (R-OK) will deliver the breakfast keynote at the 14th Annual Policy Orientation for the Texas Legislature on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at 8:00 am CST at the Hilton Austin Hotel in the Grand Ballroom.

Tom A. Coburn, M.D. served as the junior U.S. Senator of Oklahoma from 2005-2014 leading the fight to reduce wasteful Washington spending, increase accountability and transparency for all taxpayers, restore Constitutional government, and make health care more affordable and accessible for all Americans. In addition, Dr. Coburn has fought for the sanctity of life and private property rights. With Oklahoman independence, Dr. Coburn has successfully challenged the broken culture of Washington; offering more amendments than any other senator to end waste and protect liberties. As a citizen legislator, Dr. Coburn pledged to serve no more than two terms in the Senate.

For over thirteen years, the Texas Public Policy Foundation’s Policy Orientation has been one of the nation’s top policy conferences, selling out each year while bringing together lawmakers, policy experts, and engaged citizens from across the political spectrum to discuss critical issues facing the Lone Star State and America. This year’s program includes more than 35 panel discussions and debates on the major issues affecting Texas’ future.
