AUSTIN – The Texas Public Policy Foundation is pleased to announce a 13th Annual Policy Orientation Exclusive Discussion featuring former Senator Phil Gramm and former Congressman Kent Hance for a firsthand look into how the Reagan tax cuts laid the foundation for the Texas Model. The discussion will take place on Thursday, January 8th, 2015 at 12:30 pm CST in the Ballroom at the Sheraton Austin Hotel at the Capitol.

“It is a true privilege to welcome former Senator Gramm and Former Congressman Hance to Policy Orientation 2015,” said Brooke Rollins, President & CEO of the Texas Public Policy Foundation. “These two great statesmen were on the front lines in the battle to enact President Ronald Reagan’s tax cuts that kickstarted a stagnant American economy and blossomed into the Texas Model we enjoy today. This discussion promises to provide insight into ensuring the Texas Model continues for generations to come.”

For thirteen years, the Foundation’s Policy Orientation has been one of the nation’s top policy conferences, selling out each year while bringing together lawmakers, policy experts, and engaged citizens from across the political spectrum to discuss critical issues facing the Lone Star State and America. Last year’s Policy Orientation attracted approximately 700 attendees including nearly 100 state legislators and hundreds of legislative staff from both sides of the aisle.

This year’s program includes 35 panel discussions and debates on the major issues affecting Texas’ future. Members of the public and media who wish to attend may register and view the agenda at: www.PolicyOrientation.com
