This November, Austinites finally said enough is enough. Prop Q, the city’s proposed 20% increase, was defeated soundly. Voter’s emphatic rejection of this measure has forced city officials to reevaluate Austin’s finances. Even still, it’s clear that Austin’s financial house is not in order and getting worse. Austin’s citizens are now asking, “Where do we go from here?”
