Education, Entrepreneurship, and Self-Reliance: Are the Principles of Booker T. Washington Still Relevant?

You are invited to join us for an evening honoring Black History Month. You will enjoy a panel discussion led by TPPF’s Executive Director, Kevin RobertsLTC Allen West (Ret.), Director of TPPF’s Booker T. Washington Initiative, and The Honorable James White, Chairman of the House Committee on Corrections. Our panelists will examine the relationship between Booker T. Washington’s principles and current legislative policy issues that are facing Texas’ African-American community as well as the state legislature from the municipal, state, and federal levels.

Complimentary refreshments will be served, and special edition copies of Booker T. Washington’s book Up From Slavery will also be available for purchase. Please RSVP to reserve your seat.
