STATEMENT OF AUTHORIZATION
“Keep Texas Texan!”
I support the Texas Public Policy Foundation’s research and policy analysis of the urgent issues confronting the Texas Legislature in the next 140 days. I authorize TPPF to speak for me regarding the momentous issues that affect Texas now and in the future. These include:
CUTTING PROPERTY TAXES AND SPENDING
Texas government must ensure that Texans not pay “rent to the state” forever in the form of property taxes. Instead, Texans should truly own their homes as burdensome property taxes are eliminated.
STOPPING “GREEN NEW DEAL” ATTACKS ON ENERGY
The plans of environmental radicals locally and in Washington, D.C. would badly hurt all Texans, but especially low-income and fixed-income citizens, and would cost millions of jobs.
SLAMMING THE DOOR ON VOTER FRAUD
To ensure honest, fair elections, mail-in voting should be restricted, and any mail-in voting should be handled by the Texas Secretary of State’s office.
REVERSING CLASSROOM ASSAULTS ON AMERICAN HISTORY
America is suffering a crisis of civic illiteracy and an attack on America’s first principles of freedom. Last session, the Legislature enacted free-speech protections for students and speakers on campuses, including conservatives. Now the Legislature needs to provide a high school course on our country’s founding principles.
BANNING TAXPAYER-FUNDED LOBBYING
Texas must ban local officials from taking our taxes to pay lobbyists to persuade legislators to raise our taxes more. Texas government must end the current dangerous practice.
I will give a tax-deductible gift to support the Texas Public Policy Foundation’s policy experts. I want to help TPPF—the most influential policy and action organization in Texas—as you work to “Keep Texas Texan.”
