GIVE US BACK OUR MONEY

Dear Greg,

I stand with the Texas Public Policy Foundation (TPPF) to insist on the following three policy commitments:

1)  Return most if not all of the $40 billion surplus to taxpayers in the form of property tax cuts (toward elimination) and other relief.

2)  Enact another Conservative Texas Budget, holding spending to no more than inflation plus population growth, so that you can return the taxpayers’ money to them rather than overspending it. Local officials should also enact reasonable and innovative spending restraint to reduce any waste and support tax cuts with no cutting of essential services.

3)  Enact policies to reduce inflation by stopping the “Green New Deal” attack on fossil fuels and instead creating more generation through these affordable and reliable fossil fuels. I want less reliance on unaffordable, undependable “renewables,” which have failed us and even cost lives in extreme weather.
