- Over 2.5 million pounds of illicit drugs have been seized at the border in the past five years, and the overall percentage of drugs seized continues to decrease each year.
- At least 147,000 unaccompanied migrant children have entered the U.S. since 2021.
- Customs and Border Patrol encountered 250,000 migrants last month, the first time since record keeping began that this number has reached over a quarter million in a single month.
That’s why we are arguing for policies that will strengthen physical and technological border security and prevent traffickers from using the American asylum system to take advantage of victims—especially children.
