Critical Race Theory Does Not Belong in Texas Schools

I believe that civics education in America is broken and something must be done about it – but Critical Race Theory is the wrong answer.

Texas classrooms should not:

• Teach that you are defined by your race
• Reinvent American history
• Stereotype certain people based on skin color
• Facilitate a “cancel culture” mentality in our youth
• Actively protest and/or lobby during class time

Government Funded Racism should not be implemented in Texas classrooms. MLK’s dream was for people to be judged not by the color of their skin, but the content of their character I believe the Texas legislature should keep the harmful doctrine of CRT out of our schools to protect the foundational tenet of our Democracy that all men were created equal.
