The Honorable Ron Simmons was the former director of Right on Work, a Foundation initiative to build a coalition of companies, organizations, and individuals to meet the needs of the 21st century workforce through technical education opportunities.
Simmons previously served as the state representative for House District 65 in Denton County from 2013 to 2019. He was the chair of the Policy Committee for the Texas House of Representatives Republican Caucus and the subcommittee chairman of the Long-Term Financing and Planning Transportation Committee. In the 85th legislative session, Simmons was appointed to the House committees on Transportation, Appropriations, and the Local and Consent Calendars. He also served on the Texas Conservative Coalition Research Institute Board of Directors.
Simmons has a B.A. in administration and management from Dallas Baptist University.
