Michelle Jehring joined the Texas Public Policy Foundation team in July 2019. Prior to joining the Foundation, she worked for 11 years on the development research team at the Heritage Foundation.

Jehring earned her MA in Politics from the University of Virginia where she won the department’s Spicer Award for Academic Excellence, a DuPont Fellowship and a Bradley Fellowship. Her BA is from the University of Notre Dame’s Program of Liberal Studies. She also completed a certificate from the International Center of French Studies at the Catholic University of the West in Angers, France.

Jehring is a native Louisianan. Inspired by a love of travel and languages, she found opportunities to live and work in Mexico, France and Switzerland and voyage even more extensively. She feels grateful to have finally settled in Austin where she enjoys family life with her husband Ben and their three children.
