Josey Theal was born and raised near Beaumont, Texas before moving to Austin in 2015. There, she completed an undergraduate degree in Government from the University of Texas at Austin.

Shortly after graduation, Josey began her professional career at the Texas Public Policy Foundation as the Grants Manager. After maintaining our grant portfolio for just over a year, she followed her passion for education policy, and now serves as TPPF’s Higher Education Policy Analyst. She is also presently pursuing a Master of Arts in Public Policy through Liberty University.

In 2018, Josey was selected to be a Fellow with the Ryan and Regan Haggerty Family Fellowship, a program that brings together a group of promising young conservative professionals who are interested in maximizing their influence in the conservative movement as leaders, philanthropists, and engaged citizens.

Outside of work, she enjoys trivia, kickboxing, and watching sports.
